Funk, Goth married

Kimberly Funk and John Goth were married on June 27 aboard the Grand Duchess Cruise Vessel on the St. Croix River, with the Rev. Robert Clark officiating. Honor attendants were Lucy de Oliveira and Jason Jansen. Attendants were Cassandra Mettenbrink, Samantha Funk, Amber Bartak, Mindy Pieper, Wes Goth, Aaron Granberg, Darin Prince and Neil Flemming. The flower girl was Andee Mettenbrink and the ringbearer was Preston Spaans. Music was provided by soloists Patsy Clarke and Derek Funk. Host and hostess were Loren and Becky Johnson. Serving as ushers for the ceremony were Derek Funk and Travis Mettenbrink. The bride is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is currently pursuing a master's degree in evaluation, research and measurement from Capella University. She is employed as an associate data analyst at Capella University in Minneapolis, Minn. The bridegroom is a graduate of Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls and Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minn., with a bachelor's degree in business management. He is employed by Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company as an account executive. A cruise on the St. Croix River was the setting for the reception and dance aboard the Grand Duchess Cruise Vessel. The couple is living in Burnsville, Minn., following a wedding trip to Cozumel, Mexico. Parents of the couple are Frank and Melanie Funk of Ewing, Neb., and Wes and Marcia Goth of Sioux Falls.
