Wollmann files petition for county commission seat
By ELISA SAND, Staff Reporter 03/11/2010
Kelli Wollmann of Madison has filed a petition to run for a spot on the Lake County Commission.

Wollmann, a Republican, is the third to file for one of two available county commission seats. Other petitions have been filed by Scott Pedersen, a Republican, and Craig Johannsen, a Democrat.

Wollmann currently holds board positions for Prairie Village and the Lake County Historical Society.

"I've thoroughly enjoyed being on these other boards," she said.

As for the county commission, Wollmann said that she feels it would be an interesting avenue to pursue.

"I'm up to the challenge," she said.

Deadline for filing petitions is March 30. At this time, all three candidates will face off in the general election in November. If more than two candidates file from either party, however, candidates from that party will first face a primary election to determine the two candidates who will be on the general election ballot.
