Letter to the editor

Last Thursday, all 4th-grade students under the direction of Ms. Waldner presented a heartwarming program to honor ALL veterans. As we viewed the handmade paper chain red, white and blue flag, they sang with gusto the “Star Spangled Banner.” A moving song of tribute, “Soldier, I Sing This Song For You,” was new to many of us. Another that has been sung for years and a great way to learn and recite all the presidents was “We the People.”

Their voices created smiles across the audience. The evening revealed pride in our students, in our school and staff, in our veterans and in our country.
