Editor, The Daily Leader:
I just returned from the Rutland School Veterans Day recognition program. The faculty and students did a topnotch job putting together a wonderful program. One could tell a lot of time and care was put into offering up a very entertaining meaningful message and delivering a thank-you to all veterans and those soldiers currently serving.
The fact that the faculty and students wanted to raise enough money to send a veteran on an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., to visit the monuments is admirable. The fact that they raised enough to send three veterans on an Honor Flight attests to their commitment and resolve. Hats off! Bravo! Job well done.
For their efforts, their original creations and songs, the students let us veterans and currently serving soldiers know that we are appreciated, and there are no words other than...thank you!
